Nokia 6600 slide review

Nokia 6600 Slide

Nokia is building a solid rep for turning out classy phones like the 6500 Classic and Slide that, while don’t deserve the fashion phone tag, are incredibly smart, elegant and injected with just a soupcon of premium phone DNA. Its second wave of style phones, the 6600 Duo, flaunts more of the same sophistication but with a few diverting quirks.

The petit 6600 Fold has already impressed up with its cute minimalist form and electromagnetic auto flip mechanism. So next up is its bigger bro, the 6600 Slide - an equally compact and pocketable blower but flaunting a sharper 3.2-megapixel snapper and accelerometer sensors.

LG KF510 review

LG KF510

Flaunting a real metal body and attractive 10.9mm slim torso, the LG KF510 rocks up with a sensational build quality that belies its lower middle class upbringing.

Essentially, this skater is a funked up Shine but injected with the Chocolate’s front touch sensitive key pad arrangement. Motorola Z10

Last year’s Z8 multimedia smartphone may have put Motorola back on the mobile radar after the RAZR years fall out but its two-megapixel snapper was woefully pedestrian. Thankfully, its successor, the Z10, is wise to the fact we crave megapixel power and upped the ante.

Apart from swapping the Z8’s lurid fluorescent trim for classier silver and revamping the keypad for the better, this pair of Z phones could easily have been separated at birth. But while the design has stood still, it means you still get to play with its ace phizog hugging kick-ass banana slider action.

Nokia 6500 Slide Black review

Nokia 6500 Slide

Trust Nokia to make a mid-range mobile feel, well, not quite so mid-range. This slinky slider – dressed here in an Orange-exclusive black overcoat – may not boast full-on smartphone credentials, but it can teach some so-called high-end blowers a thing or two.

Take the camera, for instance. Most mid-range phones sport a basic, blurry 2-megapixel snapper, but here you’ve got a 3.2-meg stunner with auto focus, dual flash and Carl Zeiss optics. It’s capable of delivering truly impressive photos.
