Nokia’s fabled N-Series has another winner up it’s sleeve with the Nokia N85. It’s got more specs than you can waggle a pointy thing at, such as a 5-megapixel camera, 3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and more.
Just about everything you could want, or need is tucked into the N85 and we’ve rounded it all up in one place.
Although only two years old, the pioneering Nokia N95 has still aged well in today’s fast paced blink-and-you’ll-miss-it mobile world but it doesn’t stop this classic needing a 2008 MOT. Of course, you could quite easily sight the N96 as its tour de force successor but Symbian fans will know the new N85 as the rightful heir, bringing a certain new streamlined sophistication to the Nseries posse.
There is a familiar look to the N85, with its glossy noir finish reminiscent of the N81 but this Symbian smartie manages to house the N95’s impressive feature set in a sleeker softer-lined shell. And this means accommodating a five-megapixel Carl Zeiss-toting camera lens, HSPDA and Wi-Fi rapido download connections, VGA quality video capture at 30fps, GPS for sat nav and a built-in 3.5mm headphone jack. It definitely feels less clunky than the original and certainly less defining in the trouser pouch.
Nokia’s N79 might be a colourful critter with its interchangeable covers, but this blower has a few more tricks up its sleeve.
Instead of standing in the shadows of its mate, the N85 it packs more than enough features to hold its own, with some super specs.

The first thing you’ll notice is the 2.6-inch lush OLED screen capable of displaying a rainbow mocking 16 million colours. Like the N95 it’s also got Wi-Fi and HSDPA for speedier browsing. But there’s more.
Nokia’s N-Series mobiles have often resided at the Pantheon of greats, and that record doesn’t look like changing with the Nokia N85.
