T-Mobile has previously revealed that its second Android smartphone - the followup to the T-Mobile G1 - would be built by Chinese manufacturer Huawei. But now it seems that Huawei could also be supplying the operator’s third Android handset, and that it could be called the T-Mobile Pulse.
Huawei making T-Mobile Pulse Android phone?
Sony Ericsson launches Jalou fashion phone
Sony Ericsson has just announced a glittering new fashion phone called Jalou. Designed with ladies who lunch in mind, it’s a compact clamshell with a design heavily inspired by crystals and diamonds - a look that’s apparently going to be very big in the fashion world come 2010.
The phone folds up to just 73mm long, or as Sony Ericsson puts it, “shorter than your favourite lipstick”, and comes in three different colour finishes: Deep Amethyst, Aquamarine Blue and Onyx Black.
Best ever 8MP camera phone deals
These days almost every mobile phone comes with its own camera for on-the-go snapshots, but if you want to blow your photos up to huge sizes, you’ll want to invest in a proper photo-centric handset packing an 8MP sensor - and we’ve scoured The Link for the finest deals on these imaging superstars.
When shopping for a camera phone don’t just think about the number of megapixels on offer though: consider the other features related to the camera, such as the type of flash (LED lamp or powerful Xenon bulb), integrated editing software and, if you plan on taking lots of photos, the amount of storage space on offer.
Dell to launch Android phone?
Dell is the world’s biggest computer maker, but if rumours are true it could be looking to push its business into new areas - namely the world of mobile phones. Yes, that’s right: the latest rumour from webs-ville says Dell is poised to launch its own assault on the mobile phone market, starting with the biggest potential market out there: China.
LG Watch Phone hits Orange France
The long-awaited LG GD910 has finally gone on sale - and for a fairly lofty wad of cash. Orange France is now offering the touchscreen timepiece on its website, with prices starting at €899 (£770) on contract.
While that might seem like a truly shocking amount of money for a mobile phone, it bears remembering that this is a landmark product that will be sold in limited numbers: the GD910 is the world’s first ever 3G watch phone, offering speeds of up to 7.2Mbps via its HSDPA connection.
Garmin–Asus nüvifone G60 finally going on sale?
Despite being announced to some fanfare back in early 2008, the Garmin–Asus nüvifone G60, a phone heavily centred on satnav and GPS abilities, has so far failed to materialise on the UK market. But there are signs that its long-awaited launch date could be nearing - it’s just hit the shops in Taiwan and will reportedly be available in the US before 2010.
Nokia N86 8MP comes “Alive at Night” with David Bailey
The Nokia N86 8MP is Nokia’s first 8-megapixel camera phone, and the Finnish firm reckons this snapper’s low light performance is so impressive that it’s worth making a fuss about. So Nokia has drafted in none other than world famous photographer David Bailey, who will venture out into London to capture nighttime scenes using, yep, just the Nokia N86 8MP.
