HTC seems to have taken a break from launching Google Android smartphones as news the company if working on the HTC Diamond 3, also known as the HTC Obsession at this point. It seems there are several rumours circulating about the imminent arrival of the HTC Diamond 3, also running under the name of the HTC Obssession at this point. This follow up to the HTC Diamond 2 is set to follow in its footsteps. However, this Windows Mobile smartphone is said to have a capacitive AMOLED screen that with support multi-touch.

Powered by the Qualcomm QSD8250 processor, it’s thought the HTC Diamond 3 will be set to run at 1GHz, making it one of the fastest Windows Mobile devices out there. In terms of memory, it’s looking like it will come with 512MB of RAM and 512MB of ROM, as well as 4GB of user accessible memory. The microSD slot should be able to add a further 32GB of storage.
Little else is known at this stage, other than the 5-Megapixel camera will come with auto-focus, flash and be able to record video at HD 720p resolution at up to 25 frames per second.

I don’t think that is a Diamond 3. The button layout is for Android, not WM and the HTC logo thats on phone has not been used by HTC for the about a year now.
