CES in Las Vegas is now fully underway and one of the first stars of the show to make an appearance is the MSI U160 netbook. The matte finish of this netbook and the sleek design makes it one of the better looking offerings to date. Find out more about the 10-inch MSI U160 after the jump…
The netbook is alive and well and getting a refresh at CES as the MSI U160 has been announced. We’re big fans of the Asus Eee PC Seashell line of netbooks but the MSI U160 looks like it’s giving it a run for its money in the style stakes.
You’ll find the MSI U160 netbook has the standard 10.1-inch screen with 1024 x 600-pixel resolution but performance and battery life have been enhanced thanks to the use of the Intel Atom N450 processor. Shipping with Windows 7, you’ll also find 2048MB of memory and 250GB hard drive rounding out the basic stats.
MSI is claiming the U160 netbook will last up to nine hours from a single charge, largely due to the use of the Pine Trail CPU and the addition of MSI battery management software.
There is no official pricing on the MSI U160 netbook for the UK at this time, nor is there a launch date. However, we should see it hitting stores by the end of the month.
