Find out more about Vodafone dropping the HTC HD2 after the jump…
Vodafone has been selling the HTC HD2 since it hit shops last month and stocks are in short supply and will soon grind to a halt on Vodafone.
The guys over at electricpig have had an official statement from Vodafone that states: ‘We are not re-stocking the HTC HD2 for general consumer sales once current stock runs out. We have had a massive amount of interest in it, and our initial stock sold out quickly. Subsequent deliveries have been used to fulfil backorders, but we are not looking to re-stock the device.’
The reasoning behind the move is due to a whole host of other devices that will soon becoming available on Vodafone, including the Apple iPhone 3GS, and as the story points out will be a major win for Vodafone next year.
What do you think, has Vodafone played clever as demand for the Apple iPhone 3GS is bound to be large or should it carry on stocking the HTC HD2? Let us know in the Comments below.
