It looks like MSI is set to launch its first netbook with an 11.6-inch screen, as two variants of the new MSI Wind has been seen passing through the FCC. The MSI MS-1243 and MSI MS-1241 have popped up on the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) revealing that MSI plan to launch a number of larger netbooks in 2010. It seems from the details being listed that 12.1-inch and 11.6-inch variants with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution.
The MSI MS-1243 and MSI MS-1241 will have the same array of features and include Mobile Broadband options, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI port and even an option for a TV tuner. However, it is the fact that both will come with the AMD Athlon Neo processor – a variety of speed options looks on the cards at the moment.

The remainder of the tech spec is not known at this time but it is likely to be built around Windows 7, offer up to 4GB of RAM and whip with a 250GB hard drive. MSI will also be offering the MSI MS-1243 and MSI MS-1241 with 3-cell battery to start with, helping keep the weight down to less than 1.4kg.
Launch date and pricing for the UK is still under wraps – we can expect it to stay this way until the New Year. However, as soon as we hear anything we’ll let you know.
