The Nokia N97 Mini is a 3.2-inch compact version of the Nokia N97. However, rather than using the same design and simply shrinking it down, Nokia has spent a little time tweaking and refining what’s on offer. Find out what’s instore for the Nokia N97 Mini with our unboxing…
We’ve got our hands on a Nokia N97 Mini and have to admit we’re pretty impressed. It comes in a sleek black box with little or no fuss. You get an embossed image of the device itself and the name emblazoned in silver.
Open the box and you’ll find the Nokia N97 Mini sitting pretty alongside its battery. The feel of the device is great as Nokia has certainly ramped up the build quality. You’ll now find the backplate is metal and the new size fits neatly in the hand.
When it comes to features, you’ll find that Nokia has done away with the lens cover on the 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, with the camera now mounted on a raised portion of the device. The ports around the side have been kept to a minimum.
Open the keyguard and you’ll find the QWERTY keyboard has also been tweaked to fit the smaller size. The keys are still a good size and individually mounted. What’s more, this layout now fits more neatly in the hand.
We’re impressed with what the Nokia N97 Mini has to offer, bringing the term ‘flagship’ device back to the N Series brand. We’ll bring you a full review later on but for now, check out what’s in the box!
