The Nokia N900 started to ship a couple of weeks back but it looks like it won’t actually hit the shelves until the 4th December. Nokia has put the delay down to unprecedented demand for its first Maemo 5 tablet device. Find out more about the Nokia N900 after the jump…
The Nokia N900 is the first 3.5-inch touchscreen device running the new Maemo 5 operating system and comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 32GB of memory and ARM Cortex-A8 processor.
The Nokia N900 is set to go on sale for £499 (inc. VAT) SIM free but unless you’ve placed a pre-order you won’t be able to get your hands on a device until the 4th December. Due to demand, Nokia is limiting the availability of the handset to those who have already made a pre-order.
The Nokia N900 has received so many pre-orders online and from the Nokia Flagship stores in London, Manchester and Terminal 5 that it has been forced to hold back on the device hitting stores for a further week. The good news is that if you placed a pre-order then you’ll find your device being delivered in the next day or two!
