The Asus Eee PC 1201N netbook has been rumoured for a few weeks now but it appears that Asus UK has been given the green light to launch this 12.1-inch netbook with dual-core Intel Atom desktop chip and full-GPU acceleration. Find out how much the Asus Eee PC 1201N is priced in the UK, after the jump….
The Asus Eee PC 1201N takes 12.1-inch LED-backlit screen with a HD Ready resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and packs it full of the latest technology, all for less than you may imagine. The use of the Intel Atom 330 processor was thought not to be coming to netbooks, as this chip uses too much power. However, you’ll find it running at the heart of the Asus Eee PC 1201N, along with 3072MB of memory and 250GB hard drive.

When it comes to features, you’ll find the Nvidia Ion chipset allows for high-end graphics, at least compared to what we’ve previously seen on a netbook, capable of running 1080p Full HD content. With the addition of a HDMI port you’ll be able to send HD content from your netbook to your TV with ease.
Other features of the Asus Eee PC 1201N include 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, three USB ports and webcam. The 6-cell battery Asus claims should be good for up to right hours but we’ll have to see what happens in the real world, as all this power if bound to have an effect in battery life.
The Asus Eee PC 1201N is set to launch in January 2010 and will have a retail price of £399 (inc. VAT), which is a lot less than we were expecting.
