There seems to be a little bit of pushing and pulling over at Sony Ericsson central as earlier this week it was not that it’s first Google Android smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, would be with us come February. However, it looks like the Xperia X10 date may be a little premature as Sony Ericsson has pulled it! Find out more about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 after the jump…
We had hoped that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 with its 4-inch screen and 800 x 480 resolution runs the Google Android OS with a Sony Ericsson interface on top, known as Rachael would launch in February. Sony Ericsson is claiming this new interface gives its Android smartphone a smoother and better way of interacting with apps and the internet.
However, that was what the Coming Soon page over at Sony Ericsson central had posted. However, eagle-eyed readers over at slashgear have noted that this date has now be replaced with ‘To Be Confirmed’ and a restatement that it will appear in Q1 of 2010.

So why the change of heart? It sure looks like the hardware and software are in place. What’s more, if Sony Ericsson leave it any later they fear of running the risk that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 will start to look a little dated in an ever changing market.
What do you think, should Sony Ericsson throw caution to the wind and release the Xperia X10 in February? Or, not you mind when it appears, as long as it does?
