The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is set to be the company’s first Android smartphone and while we’ve been pensively waiting for a launch date – it’s been rumoured to be January 2010 - Sony Ericsson has posted that it will be February before UK owners will be able to get their hands on this smartphone. Check out the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 delay after the jump…
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is set to launch running the Google Android OS with an intuitive Sony Ericsson interface on top of it. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 comes with a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen that offers plenty of space for gaming and with a 1GHz Qualcomm CPU helping things tick along at a decent rate there is no reason why you can’t use the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 for gaming purposes.
Check out how to choose the right Android phone
The handset also comes with 8.1-Megapixel camera, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and everything else we expect from a high-end smartphone.
A Pre-Order has popped up on the Sony Ericsson page claiming that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is set for a February launch. Sadly, there is little more information to be had other than you can register your interest in this handset and you’ll be informed closer to the time.
So, will you be putting your name down for what looks like being the first great Google Android smartphone of 2010, or is there something else with your name on it?

Hi
AFAIK there was no mention of a release date other than Q1 2010 until yesterday when Feb 10 2010 was announced.
I think it is unfair to say the device is delayed and that the date has slipped, since Feb 10 is EARLY in Q1.
I cant wait, hoping for Orange UK and Andriod 2.0!
Mark.
