As promised, Sony Ericsson has launched its first Google Android handset. However, instead of being the intended Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, the company has had a slight change of naming convention and gone with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 instead. Find out all about the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 after the jump…
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has a 4-inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution and runs the Google Android OS with a Sony Ericsson interface on top, known as Rachael. Sony Ericsson is claiming this new interface gives its Android smartphone a smoother and better way of interacting with apps and the internet.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 uses a Snapdragon 1GHz Qualcomm processor, making it quick and responsive, while the 8-Megapixel camera with dual-LED flash is the most power snapper on any Android device yet.
Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetoothm audio jack, microUSB and microSD card for adding extra memory.
That’s the good news, the bad is that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 won’t be with us until January 2010 at the earliest, with some reports suggesting that it could slip to February to wait for the Google Android 2.0 software upgrade.
So, will you be waiting for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 or will you be opting for a different Google Android smartphone instead? Let us know in the Comments below.
