When it comes to netbooks, Samsung is very much at the forefront of things, with the Samsung N130 for the budget user, while the Samsung N310 offers style and design. However, how do you fancy a Samsung netbook with an AMOLED screen? Well, Samsung looks set to launch the world’s first netbook with AMOLED screen and you can find out all about it after the jump…
The as-yet-unnamed Samsung netbook has turned up sporting an ultra-bright and high balance AMOLED display. That’s the good news, the bad news is that it’s only 7-inch in size at this stage.
However, size may not be important as the display, which comes with a 1024 × 600-pixel resolution display and 16:9 aspect ratio, looks set to be the future of netbooks. When it comes to brightness it puts all other netbooks into the shade as you’ll find a 3000cd/m2 and 1000,000:1 contrast ratio on-board, which is simply staggering.
The netbook itself looks like a good-looking machine with a funky and fresh keyboard. Given the size of the screen, this will be a compact keyboard but we’re sure that Samsung will have learnt a few tricks in the last couple of years to make the most of the size. The rest of the spec is up for debate at this stage.
We’re not sure if this model will ever see the light of day as its clearly a concept device at the moment but if the demand is there then it’s sure to be put into production.
