The HTC HD2, formerly the HTC Leo, has officially been launched with Windows Mobile 6.5 as its operating system. The HD2 is truly an astounding handset with some amazing features, including a mammoth 4.3-inch touchscreen and HTC’s own Sense UI. More after the jump…
The HTC HD2 that launches with Windows Mobile 6.5 is certainly not short of a feature or two. The first thing you notice is its massive 4.3-inch capacitive touch screen which dwarfs the iPhone and most other touch devices.
The capacitive screen means it should be as responsive as most modern touch screens, and HTC has added some multi-touch capabilities as well. Like the iPhone, the HD2 now has the option of ‘pinch to zoom’. It’s the first Windows Mobile 6.5 to have this.

HTC has also popped Sense UI on top of Windows Mobile and have reportedly made loads of software tweaks so the HD2 is faster than Usain Bolt.
The HD2 also has an amazing 5-Megapixel camera with dual LED flash and auto-focus. It manages to include a 1 GHz Snapdragon-based processor, and this means it has more than enough power.
There’s also Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, a standard headphone jack, HSUPA and GPS.
The HTC HD2, formerly known as the HTC Leo, will be available later this month though pricing details and operator information is yet to be officially announced. Will it be O2, or will it be another operator? Let us know what you think in the Comments below.
