The ViewSonic VNB100 is the budget model of the line at £299 (inc. VAT) an comes with a 10.1-inch screen and has what we’ve come to expect from a netbook running Windows XP. So, you;ll find an Intel Atom N270 processor, 1024MB of memory and 160GB hard drive. However, you’ll also find a couple of neat additions, such as a PCI-Express slot, which is uncommon on a netbook, as well as integrated GPS functions.
The ViewSonic VNB101 costs £329 (inc. VAT) and comes with the same 10.1-inch screen size but the frameless design adds a little more glamour to the design. With a weight of 1.1kg, this is as light as a 10-inch netbook gets. You’ll find the faster Intel Atom N280 processor inside along with the standard netbook tech spec for Windows XP. ViewSonic is claiming the ViewSonic VNB101 can bootup in just eight seconds, which is something to be truly seen.
