Nokia 5130 XpressMusic review
Rating: 4

The Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is part of the music range of phones from Nokia and is intended to work with services like Nokia Music and even Nokia’s Comes With Music download service. We’ve been testing the handset out, so check out the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic review…

The first thing you notice about the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic phone is how compact and robust it feels in the hand. Based around a 2-inch screen that uses a standard 320 x 240-pixel resolution, it’s slim and slight and with an overall weight of 88g, this is a great phone for carrying around in your pocket.

Being a music phone you’ll find dedicated music buttons on the side of the phone and getting access to your tunes is easy and straight forward. The battery life of the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is great, as you’ll easily get over 18 hours of constant music from this phone. It’s also has a great talk time, so whether it’s for phone skills of music, this is a good all-round choice.

Sadly, with only 30MB of internal memory, you’ll need to rely on the microSD slot for expansion but a 1GB card in supplied in the box.

The 2-Megpixel camera is starting to look a little entry-level these days but it works well and viewing back on the screen shows how versatile it is.

Verdict
The Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is a solid phone with a simple design. Sure, there is a heavy emphasis on music with this device but we also found it a satisfactory phone for every day use. The battery life is good, the feature set entry-level but usable, making this a great phone at a new bargain price.
