MSI has confirmed that it will be launching the MSI Wind U150 touchscreen netbook. This touchscreen netbook is set to go head-to-head with the Asus Eee PC T91 but looks to launch not only with Windows 7 on-board but also Intel’s next-gen netbook chip. Find out the full details on the MSI Wind U150 after the jump…
The MSI Wind U150 will be winging its way to stores later this year (with a bit of luck), as the company has confirmed that it’s first touchscreen netbook in on the way! What’s more, we can expect it to be one of the first netbooks to come with Windows 7 on-board.
The MSI Wind U150 will have a 8.9-inch screen that like the Asus Eee PC T91 will sit on a pivot so you’ll be able to fold it down and use it in slate mode.
As it will also sport the next-gen Intel Atom chip, code name Pine Trail, we can expect as much as 20 per cent power boost over current netbooks, with an expected overall improvement in battery life too.

The MSI Wind U150 hasn’t been priced yet but we can expect to see the device launch at CES in January at the latest.
MSI says that Intel’s new gear won’t be ready until January when CES rolls around so we may not get a glimpse of the MSI Wind U150 until then, but Intel still claims Pine Trail products could plonk themselves down on the shelves before year out.
