The Nokia 5230 has been launched in a wide array of colours. This Symbian S60 smartphone is very much in keeping with other touchscreen phones from Nokia, having a stylish design with an emphasis on music and movies, as well as a healthy nod towards the much-loved Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.
The Nokia 5230 is very much an entry-level phone but still manges to pack in a 3.2-inch touchscreen. Then there is the new Homescreen, first seen on the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. This means you’ll be able to load four of your favourite apps straight from the homescreen, including the likes of Facebook and YouTube.
It also comes with the same Contacts bar that allows you to add up to 20 contacts with pictures and scroll between them. Other features include assisted-GPS with Ovi Maps, a 2-Megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0. You’ll also find a fast HSDPA connection for getting access to email and the internet and with a claimed 33 hours of playback from the media player, this is very much a device for music lovers out there.
The Nokia 5230 will ship in two different flavours, you’ll be able to pick up a standard version for 149 Euros (£130), while a Nokia 5230 Comes With Music will set you back juts 259 Euros (£225) where CWM is in operation.
