The Nokia N97 Mini, first outed back in June, has been made official by Nokia. Not in an official launch but with it’s appearance on the FCC site in the States. This smaller and more compact version of Nokia’s flagship N97 looks like usurping the crown. Check out the facts on the Nokia N97 Mini to see how it differs…
The Nokia N97 Mini has arrived on the FCC wesbite over in the US. If you want to launch any device into the US you need to prove it meets regulations, which is why the FFC (Federal Communications Commission) is there to make this information public.
There aren’t a whole lot of facts and figures to go along with the posting, other than a 1:1 scale drawing of what the device will look like. However, that’s no problem as we’ve already seen leaked images of the Nokia N97 Mini.

However, it does seem that the Nokia N97 Mini isn’t a great deal smaller than the Nokia N97. However, with the screen switching from 3.5-inch to 2.9-inch, it was never really going to be a big reduction in size, was it?
The screen isn’t the only thing that’s dropped as you’ll find the internal memory has moved from 32GB to just 8GB, which is still more than enough for most people. We can expect there to still be a microSD slot in there to add more storage.
