The MSI Wind U100 netbook was one of the first 10-inch devices out there and became the basis of the Advent 4211c, which we liked so much! Now, MSI is looking set to take another jump forward by launching a netbook with a touchscreen. Check out the details of the MSI touchscreen netbook after the jump…
MSI produce some great laptops but it’s perhaps best known for its netbook range – largely because the Advent 4211c was based on the MSI Wind netbook.
However, it seems MSI is about to launch an 8.9-inch touchscreen netbook that will go head-to-head with the Asus Eee PC T91. This is merely rumour at this stage, as the story has popped up on DigiTimes, which isn’t the most reliable of sources.
Still, the report claims MSI is prepping new netbooks based on Intel’s Pine Trail-M platform. What’s more, we can expect the touchie-feelie netbook by for December this year, so you can poke your way around the web instead of reaching down for the trackpad and mouse buttons.
The question should be, do we like the idea of a touchscreen netbook? Would you buy one over a standard netbook if the price was right? Let us know in the Comments below.
