The Samsung TouchWiz interface for its touchscreen devices can be found on devices such as the Samsung F480 Tocco and is a great way to get about the screen. However, until now there hasn’t been that many apps and tools for the TouchWiz interface. This is all about to change with the arrival of the TouchWiz app store. Check out what’s in store for TouchWiz after the jump…
It seems you can’t have a smartphone without it having its own app store, with Apple iPhone App Store leading the way but also BlackBerry App World and Nokia Ovi Store catching up. Now Samsung is planning an app store for the TouchWiz interface.
The difference, however, is that Samsung is opening up its TouchWiz touchscreen platform to developers, who can create an array of tools for the interface, which so far has been a little lacking.
Samsung hasn’t made it’s TouchWiz App Store official yet, but it seem any new TouchWiz widgets will be available to download through an app store, as the South Korean giant says it will certify the apps, and let developers charge for them.
We’re awaiting the developers portal to launch in the next day or two.
