The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2, the follow-up to the excellent Xperia X1, first started getting spoken about with any real gusty back in April. Now, however, the Windows Mobile-toting handset has been caught on video. Okay, it’s not the Google Android offering that is the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3, but it’s still a killer mobile. Check it out after the jump…
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 has had to take a bit of a back seat in recent months because of the hype surrounding the not-yet-official Android-toing X3. But we’re putting the skids on that for just a minute, because the Xperia 2 has been caught on camera and it looks awesome.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 looks to be sporting Windows Mobile 6.5, with the honeycomb user interface very much to the fore. Elsewhere Internet Explorer Mobile is also aboard, but hopefully that doesn’t mean the end of Opera, which was such a hit on the first Xperia mobile.
There’s not much else in the way of specs revealed, and the video doesn’t show the rear of the phone, so we’re left to speculate as to what size sensor the camera in the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is. Will it be an eight-megapixel offering? Here’s hoping. As soon as we know more, so will you.
In the meantime, check out the video below…
