The Palm Pre is coming to the UK. However, those who were hoping it was going to appear this summer will need to wait a little longer. Palm is claiming that it won’t have enough stock to support the UK until a Christmas launch!

The Palm Pre is claimed to be the company’s last ditch attempt to make an impact on the smartphone industry. Palm originally started life as a PDA company but as so far failed to make any headway in the more lucrative connected device space.
The Palm Pre launched back in May in the US under exclusive contract on the Sprint mobile network, who sell the Palm Pre for $199.99 (£130) on a fixed two year contract. With over 300,000 orders in the US, Palm has found it difficult to meet demand, hence the delay in this country.
