The HTC Hero, or T-Mobile G1 Touch or Orange HTC Hero of you prefer, seems to be getting around a lot of late. This latest Android smartphone isn’t content with juts appearing under contract, as you’ll now be able to buy the HTC Hero SIM free in the UK. Check out the full details on the HTC Hero after the jump…
T-Mobile is calling it the HTC G1 Touch, as a follow on to the T-Mobile G1, while Orange is happy to call it the HTC Hero but it seems you’ll also be able to buy the HTC Hero in the UK SIM free.

You’ll be able to get your hands on the HTC Hero SIM free for £430 (inc. VAT), which isn’t cheap but at least you’ll be able to use your current service provider.
The HTC Hero is one of the best looking Android handsets we’ve seen so far, with a slim chassis and great white finish that has a Teflon coating, so won’t get all stained and dented. It also has a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD, 320 × 480-pixel resolution screen on-board, a 5-Megapixel camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and even a digital compass built in – something Apple has only just got around to introducing on the Apple iPhone 3G S.
The HTC Hero will ship in the UK starting in July.

Cool phone!
