The HTC Firestone could well be the surprise hit of the summer as this Mobile Mobile 6.5 smartphone has just popped up on the radar but manages to impress with its cutting-edge design and feature set. There is no news as to whether the OS will come with the HTC TouchFLO overlay but it’s a fair bet we’ll see some tinkering with the base install.
It’s expected to be seen as a replacement to the HTC Touch and has a canny look of the HTC Diamond to it. This is a 3.6-inch touchscreen device makes the most of the WVGA resolution and can be used in Landscape and Portrait modes with ease.
This quad-band smartphone comes with 8-Megapixel camera built in, so giving the Nokia N86 8MP and Samsung i8910 a run for their money in the camera stakes. Other features include A-GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, microSD expansion, G Sensor and the aforementioned Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system.
We’re expecting the HTC Firestone to be officially announced later this week, We’ll bring you full details of price and availability then.
