The BlackBerry Storm is set to get a sibling in the form of the BlackBerry Tour, which is a business smartphone set to launch this summer. The new BlackBerry Tour has ended weeks of speculation as to not only when BlackBerry would launch a new device but ‘what’ they would launch. Join us aftre the jump for the full facts on the BlackBerry Tour.
The BlackBerry Tour is very much a business smartphone that comes with all the features we expect, so push email is fitted as standard, along with a good sized screen and a very usable keyboard.
The slim and sleek design comes with a 2.4-inch screen with a great resolution of 480 x 360 pixels, something we expect on bigger displays, as well as a full-QWERT keyboard that makes emails and messaging on the go a whole lot easier.
Weighing in at just 130g, the BlackBerry Tour looks like being one of the best all-round business smartphones from the company to date. Along with full 3G connectivity, there is space to fit in a 3.2-Megapixel camera, as well as GPS. It comes with 256MB of memory, which is expandable up to 32GB using microSD card.
The BlackBerry Tour is set to cost $199 (£157) when it launches later this summer in the US. This sum is calculated on the user has claimed back a $150 rebate. No word on a UK release date, but the phone has been confirmed as having GSM support so hopefully should be with us later this year.
