3 SIM Zero is the UK’s first  monthly contract that will cost you absolutely nothing for Skype calls and even instant messaging. Mobile phone network operator has been pushing its Free Skype service for a few months and has now made the ultimate in cost cuts, offering it to the people for free.

3 SIM Zero is set to launch on 17 June and will offer all the money saving pros of Pay As You Go (PAYG) account  without any of the hassle of remembering to top up. For nothing a month, 3 SIM Zero gives you free Skype-to-Skype calls, free Windows Live Messenger and free voicemail.

Obviously, you’ll need to pay for some things using the service, regular calls will cost 20p a minute and texts 10p a minute and 1MB of data use will set you back 30p. The minimum contract term is just one month, and you only need to give a month’s notice to cancel.
