Thinking of taking your mobile phone on holiday this summer? Scared of the bill you’ll run up? Fear not, as Vodafone has announced that it is about to cut the price of calls from over 35 European countries to the same price as it would be in the UK!
Check out whether your current plan works after the jump…
From 1st June until the end of August, Vodafone is set to cut the cost of talk, text and send picture messages on both its Pay As You Go (PAYG) and Pay Monthly accounts in over 35 European countries. This means you’ll be able to talk and text for the same price as the domestic service.
The service will be automatically offered to anyone using the Vodafone Passport system. However, from the 15th May anyone not using the service can sign up free by texting the word ‘Passport’ to 97888 if they pay monthly or to 2345 if they use PAYG.
As an example, a Vodafone customer on a cost plan with 600 minutes and unlimited texts who opts in to Vodafone Passport would use these minutes and texts when they are on holiday with no extra charges.
So, if you’re thinking of getting a new phone this summer, you’ll be able to take it away with you and not worry about the bill waiting on the matt when you get home!
