The BlackBerry Storm has been one of the most successful smartphones for the company but it seems that RIM, the parent company, isn’t about to sit back on its laurels, as details of the BlackBerry Storm 2 have already started to circulate.
The BlackBerry Storm 2 could be with us by the end of the year in this country and out in thr United States as early as Septmeber.
According to a story over on KYM, RIM CEO Jim Balsillie has confirmed that the Blackberry Storm 2 is on it’s way and could well be with us before the year’s end. Commenting on the BlackBerry Storm, Balsille said, ‘that product was a huge success in terms of sales and adoption’, so we can assume the BlackBerry Storm 2 won’t move too far away from the original in terms of look.
At this stage there are very few details as to what the Storm 2 will look like but we can assume it’ll come with an improved 5-Megapixel camera, as well as Wi-Fi and a more consumer focus to the whole device.
There was no official word concerning release date, full tech specs or pricing but you can be sure we’ll fill the details in as soon as we know them.
