Motorola first let slip about its plans for a Motorola Google Android phone back in February but things have been a little quiet since then. However, what is being reported to be a Android-powered Motorola smartphone has been leaked, along with its codename - Motorola Ironman!
The Motorola Ironman may just be a codename but you can sure bet that it’ll get a tie-in with the release of the Iron Man II movie. This photo of what is being purported to be the first Motorola Android-based smartphone has been posted by Boy Genius Report.
The picture shows what looks like a very consumer orientated smartphone, finished in blue and with a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s not been confirmed what the OS will be, with even BGR saying their source only claims that ‘most likely’ it’ll be running Android and be on sale by the end of Q3 this year.
When it comes to a full tech spec, it’s anyone’s guess at this point but we can expect a super-quick CPU and lots of features, including Wi-Fi, 3G and a hi-res camera. As there are few buttons on the face of the phone, the screen could also be touch sensitive.
As you would expect, there is no official word from Motorola on the Ironman, but stay turned as we feel news on this phone may just be about to get interesting.
