The Toshiba Mini NB200 netbook has been launched in the UK and follows the news of it’s launch as the Toshiba UX in Japan. Toshiba wants people to think of the NB200 as a mini-notebook but it’s clearly a netbook, sporting the same spec and tech we’ve come to love.
Naturally, all with a Toshiba twist and an update over the older NB100.
The Toshiba Mini NB200 netbook has been launched for the entry-level price of £320 and brings with it the now popular 10.1-inch screen size – quickly becoming the favourite panel size out there.
However, Toshiba claims that with the 9-cell battery pack (available as an upgrade) you’ll be able to get nine hours of battery life from this netbook.
When it comes to tech specs, you’ll find the Mini NB200 follows the usual array of netbook features, with Windows XP, 160GB hard drive and 1024MB of memory.
You can choose between an Intel Atom N270 or N280 processor. There is even a sleep-and-charge function, which lets you charge mobile phones and MP3 players when the NB200 is turned off.
The Toshiba Mini NB200 comes in an array of colours, which include brown, black, white or pink and with pricing starting at £320 it’s an aggressively priced netbook. We should start to see it ship in May.
