The Samsung Q320 laptop offers something a little different to the other models on the market, as it’s the first laptop we’ve come across with a genuine 13.4-inch screen. This makes it a perfect fit for the 16:9 HD crowd, who want to watch movies in their natural aspect ratio.
It’s not just killer netbooks like the Samsung NC10 the company specialises in. To make things even more appealing, the screen sits in a frameless bezel, juts like the new MacBook Pro series from Apple, so the screen makes an even bigger impact.
The Samsung Q320 has a stylish look that incorporates a frameless 13.4-inch screen and even a slot-loading disk drive to keep the style and design as sleek as possible. The screen is an LED panel, so keeping the profile of the machine as slight as possible.
Weighing just 2.2kg, this is the ideal solution for those who need to carry their laptop around with them and still have plenty of screen to view. Samsung is claiming up to five hours from the battery life, as it ships with a 6-cell long-life battery.
Graphics are supplied by the Nvidia GeForce G105M, so you’ll find plenty of performance for gaming, as well as HD entertainment. Windows Vista and a SilentMode, which effectively turns the fan off when you’re working in a quiet environment, add to the appeal of this laptop. The base spec is built around an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a range of specs will be made available when the Samsung Q320 is released next month in the UK.
Pricing has yet to be finalised.
