It looks like Samsung is set to launch a rival to its own top-selling NC10 netbook in the form of the Samsung NC310, which has leaked onto the internet with pics and specs.
We’re huge fans of the Samsung NC10, as it’s clearly one of the best 10-inch netbooks around at the moment but the Samsung NC310 has a claimed battery life of up to 11 hours, making this the ideal machine for life on the move.
The Samsung NC310 netbook has been leaked on to the internet with pics and a basic spec and a claim that this mini-marvel with last up to 11 hours in typical use. If this part is true, then the NC310 will be the longest lasting netbook we’ve ever seen.
The Samsung NC310 netbook has been leaked well ahead of a launch date by the guts over at Akihabara News, who are claiming this netbook has a fairly standard spec, in the form of 1024MB of memory, 10.1-inch screen,160GB hard drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam and Wi-Fi.
The main NC310 will ship with a standard five-hour battery but the site is claiming an enhanced version will also ship, delivering the claimed 11 hours of use.
However, what strikes us most about this netbook is the look of it, which is as far away from the NC10 as possible. In fact, we’d go as far to say it looks more like the HP 2133 with its rounded edges and larger. It’s also expected to ship in a variety of colours, just like the NC10.

We’ve no word on when the Samsung NC310 will ship in this country but we hope it’s soon.

If this is all it’s cracked up to be, then this could be something REALLY special.
What I’d like to see though is embedded sim-card holders, saving consumers from using dongles. And of course exclusive contracts on O2!
