The Samsung C5212 phone has been announced and is one of a new breed of mobile phones that offers support for dual-SIM cards to sit side-by-side. So, if you’re one of those people who like to switch between work and home accounts but want to use the same phone, this could be the perfect device for you.
The Samsung C5212 phone offers two SIMs in the same simple candybar phone, making it a simple device for those with complicated lives. The beauty of having two SIMs instead of switching accounts is that you can have quite separate contact details on each. The main benefit, though, is that it allows for separate billing, so no mess at the end of the month.
The Samsung C5212 may have the dual-SIM feature builtin but in every other respect it’s a fairly average phone. The screen offers a 176 x 220-pixel display with 262K-colour support. There is a 1.3-megapixel camera with video recording, which will son fill up the 64MB of internal memory.
Luckily, you’ll be able to add more using the MicroSD card slot, which supports up to 8GB. Bluetooth and USB connectivity are your only options and you’ll find the now obligatory FM radio and MP£ player built-in.
The phone is currently available in Russia and is expected to reach the UK later this year. There are no details on pricing but it’s currently selling for 152 Euros, which is great value for a dual-SIM phone, so expect similar pricing in the UK.
