With Motorola’s new D10 & D11 cordless digital phones you can not only help do your bit to save the environment, but they should also help cut your energy consumption a bit too.
Rather than remain at full power all the time, the handsets cleverly optimise their output depending on how far away from the base station they actually are so they’re not pumping out a stronger signal than necessary and wasting power.
For an even bigger saving, you can manually put them into eco mode which not only cuts power consumption but also boosts talktime to boot.
In addition to saving power, they’re also made from at least 20 percent recycled material which is better for the environment.
Both models feature an answer phone, polyphonic ringtones and100 entry phonebook, while the D11 also sports a colour screen and text messaging.
