HTC may be the only handset maker on the market with a Google Android powered phone at the moment, but that’s all set to change in the new year.
Most notably, Asus is set to join the robot wars with its own Android army of handsets starting early 2009.
Exact specs are still sketchy, but according to people in the know Asus is planning on introducing at least ten new models in 2009 - some running Google Android with others powered by Windows Mobile.
In addition, almost all the new models are believed to support both 3G and touchscreen displays. Looks like the next 12 months could see an explosion of Google powered phones on the marked.
