The current pace at which mobiles are advancing is great if you simply must have all the technology possible packed into your pocket, but if you just want an easy to use phone to make the odd call on, then you may struggle to find something suitable.
Not so with the Binatone Speakeasy which ditches flashy features like touchscreens and downloadable apps in favour of big buttons and a clear, easy to use interface.
That’s not to say you’re missing out on features – not only can the Speakeasy make calls and send text messages, but it can also double as a torch too.
The ringer is extra loud and it’s compatible with digital hearing aids, plus there’s also a notepad on the back in case you need to jot anything down.
Add on an extra large text display, big buttons and a dedicated key for accessing text messages and you’ve got a super simple phone.
We’re not aware of the Binatone Speakeasy being available on any networks here in the UK but there are cracking PAYG phones that offer just as much functionality, if not more, for the price, such as the Sony Ericcson T303 or Samsung C300.
