With 3G on your handset and HSDPA in action to supersize your mobile internet connection, phone surfing is no longer the slow process it once was. But that doesn’t mean faster isn’t better.
Network 3 is promising to double the current 7.2Mbps maximum to an astonishing 14.4Mbps by 2010. That’s faster than some home broadband connections.
Of course, it’ll be the major cities that will benefit first - good news if you live in London. There’ll still be a benefit for out of towners too, though, as they should see the current 3.6Mbps max they currently get boosted to 7.2Mbps too.
The speed ramp should kick in around Autumn 2010 and 3 has also promised to up upload speeds too, so you should be able to send stuff to the web at a speedy 5.7Mbps.
