Use your mobile to keep an eye on the homestead, office space, or anywhere else you fear intruders may appear!
Read on for some handy surveillance tips.

Step 1: Keep an eye on things
Your N95 has every tool you need to keep an eye on your property while you’re away. That five megapixel camera is perfect for peeping intruders, so why not use it as a wireless webcam?
Mobiola from Warelex.com will connect your phone to a PC using Bluetooth, letting you use it as a webcam in any application you like. Set up a profile in your favourite chat application (Windows Live Messenger is ideal), hook up the webcam and you’ll be able to ‘chat’ with your home PC any time you need to see what’s going on at home!
Step 2: Long range spying
Of course, Bluetooth is only useful if your phone is near a computer. It has a range of around 10 metres, but if your computer is further away then you’ll need Wigo. Install it on your phone and you’ll be able to hook your phone up as a PC webcam using Wi-Fi.
Since Wi-Fi has a larger range you’ll be able to move your phone further from the PC, and because it’s quicker than Bluetooth it’ll deliver a better picture too. Just like Mobiola, it’ll set up your phone so it’s usable in IM programs, or any other app that takes your fancy.
Step 3: Listen carefully
As well as using its camera to keep an eye on things, your N95 can listen to its surroundings and let you know if there’s anything fishy going on.
Install SkyeSpy and you’ll be able to set your mobile to listen for noise, reporting back to you with a phone call or text message when its ears prick up. Sure, you might not see the person who’s invading your personal space, but if they accidentally open their mouth, you’ll have a voice to match and plenty of spoken evidence to use in their capture!

Make it better with… a power cable!
It’s not often we recommend a power cable (they’re hardly sexy, are they?) but all of these apps will drain your battery. If you want your phone to keep an eye on things for longer than a few hours, you’ll need to plug it in.
