Today is a big day in laptop land: in just a few short hours, after America wakes up, Steve Jobs will take to the stage in California and take the wraps off Apple’s new range of MacBooks.
We know the event is happening and that it’s all about portable models. We just don’t know which ones - but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a good educated guess, right?
Perhaps the most certain outcome is an aluminium clad MacBook, replacing the previous plastic model - this would match with the last iMac update which saw metal across the range.
The MacBook Pro will also likely get a speed bump and maybe even Blu-ray as an option. The big question on everyone’s lips, however, is will there be a super cheap sub £500 MacBook? To find out, we’ll just have to wait and see this evening.
