Use your phone as a mobile multiplex and watch movies encoded with the space saving DivX codec wherever you are!
It’s easy to learn.
Master in 1 minute
Step 1: Grab the right software
Your mobile will probably play normal movie files using its own software, but DivX is different, and needs its own software. Grab it by logging on to www.divx.com using your computer and creating an account. Next, point your phone’s web browser to http://mobile.divx.com, log in using your username and password, then download the application.
Step 2: Security checks
Your phone might complain about the signature attached to the DivX software, but it’s perfectly safe to install it. If your phone won’t let you, head to the application manager, and change any option to check software certificates to ‘allow all’.
Step 3: Fill up on flicks
Once the DivX software is installed you’ll need to put some movies on your phone. Do this using a USB cable rather than Bluetooth, as it’ll take much less time, and means there’s less risk of your phone’s battery running out half-way through. Make sure you put each movie file on your memory card, as it’s unlikely your phone will have enough space to hold them on its internal memory.
Step 4: Watch away!
Now you’re ready to start watching DivX movie files on your phone. Tap into your mobile’s application menu and fire up the DivX software. It should find your films automatically, so choose one and it’ll start playing. Tap into the options menu to switch to full screen.

Make it better with… custom settings
The DivX software is very advanced, considering it’s running on your phone. Tap into the settings menu and you’ll see you can set it to always play movies in full screen mode, or even shunt image or audio streams to align them, should the sound and vision be out of sync!
