Nokia’s touchy 5800 phone, otherwise known as the Nokia Tube looks set for a glitzy launch this afternoon as part of Nokia’s Comes With Music extravaganza that’s set to take place in London later today.
The Tube is Nokia’s first full foray into touchscreen territory and has been the subject of much phone fancied speculation. But this afternoon’s announcement should douse the flames with the cold hard facts, which we’ll be bringing to you as soon as they break! Read on for more…
Rumours surrounding the specifications of Nokia’s touchscreen super phone have been ablaze of late, with chatter of a 3.2-inch screen, GPS, Wi-Fi and a 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera along with a healthy 8GB of storage. It’s also reckoned that The 5800 Tube will also be the first introduction of the swanky new Symbian S60 Taco 5 operating system. Intriguing.
It’s expected to be brandished in a range of colours as spy shots have shown a glossy red offering.
Expect some smart music and media features too. Nokia wouldn’t unveil it at a Comes With Music event if there wasn’t anything tuneful to sing about it.
Stay tuned and stop by late this afternoon for a full lowdown of the official announcement!
