After endless speculation, rumour and gadget fancied anticipation T-Mobile announced the G1 smartphone, formerly dubbed the HTC Dream. It’s being tipped to be the Apple iPhone conquering device many have been waiting for.

The Android packing (Google’s simple to use open source operating system) phone comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keypad for speedy two handed texting and a trackball for simple scrolling style navigation.
The G1 also has 256MB of internal memory along with a 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, and nippy HSDPA for effortless web browsing and GPS with full Google Maps and functionality and a trusty compass to point you in the right direction.
Applications to enhance the phone can also be downloaded via the Android market, such as film viewers, games, social networking tools and other fun and useful apps to add to the G1’s skills.
