It’s not gossip anymore. The long, long awaited Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 will be getting a UK release date of October.
That’s welcome news for those getting twitchy about whether the smartphone was ever going to appear on UK shelves. And it should be worth waiting for too with top specs including 3G and broadband.
The news comes as the Xperia’s software development kit (SDK) became available for third party developers to get their hands on to create applications for the handset.
The SDK will help add more features to the Windows Mobile operated smartphone, which features a touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera and FM radio.
Pricing details haven’t been set in stone but expect to part around £599.99 for the pleasure of holding it.
