Samsung has just announced another touch screen-centric handset to add to its ever-growing list of iPhone-a-likes.
Dubbed the “Touchwiz,” the F480 sports some pretty nifty features, with the 5-megapixel camera with auto focus, speedy HSDPA web connection and roomy 8GB of storage space (courtesy of a micro SD memory card) shouting the loudest.
There’s a 2.8-inch touch screen with iPhone-style icon interface, which lets user put their most-used icons in pride of place through a “drag and drop” feature.
Music and video playback also looms large on the feature list (it’ll play WMV and MP4 video clips), but one thing that certainly isn’t large is the size of the thing: at 11.6mm in depth, it’s actually a few millimetres skinnier than the iPhone, and weighs about 100g - not bad considering it’s clad in a rather swanky suit of brushed metal armour.
The Touchwiz will be whizzing into Europe in June, but we don’t have pricing details just yet.
