Want a quick way to jump around websites on your mobile? Opera has just released a new version of its Mini browser that promises much faster performance.
Opera Mini 4.1 offers a 50% speed boost compared to the previous version, so you can spend more time browsing and less time watching pages load.
Opera cunningly rejigs the pages before sending them to your handheld, so they’re quicker to download. You can still see full websites and zoom in and out to make the most of the smaller screen size.
The new version even lets you save pages for viewing offline and supports file uploads too so you can post your latest snaps to social websites like Flickr or Facebook without having to wait until you’re in front of your PC.
You’ll need a Java compatible phone to run Opera Mini - most are and if yours isn’t then it’s definitely time for an upgrade.
