HTC is no doubt looking to woo prospective iPhone buyers with its new touch sensitive super phone.
The Touch Diamond runs rival OS Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a 3D interface called TouchFLO 3D, which adds animation to many areas of phone interaction.
It offers bullet-speed connectivity with not just HSDPA for quick data downloads, but also the accompanying HSUPA as well for faster uploads too. You get to browse the full-fat web, so you’re not stuck just looking at mobile optimised sites and you can pan and zoom websites with just one hand. HTC has also included additional apps for YouTube and Google Maps, so you can quickly access them from the main interface.
The large 2.8-inch display also has a motion sensor in it, so can rotate webpages from portrait to landscape depending on which way you’re holding the phone. You also get a 3.2 megapixel snapper, 4GB of internal storage and built in Wi-Fi wireless networking.
