There are bags of other fashion mobiles doing the rounds at the moment? What makes the Samsung Armani better than the others?
Glad you asked. Sure, it’s all about the looks, the elegance, the sense of style. So unlike other fashion phones this is in another league. You think the iPhone is pretty? Well, the Armani phone makes it look like Amy Winehouse after a particularly heavy night on the sauce – it’s over a millimetre thinner (than the iPhone, not poor old Amy) at just 10.5mm deep, as well as beautifully clean-looking and minimalist.
What’s it made out of? Plastic?
Come off it, pal, this is Giorgio Armani we’re talking about here. the Samsung Armani’s constructed from aluminium and stainless steel, we’ll have you know, and when you’re not chatting away on it, it slips into a real leather case.
So where are all the buttons then? How do I control it?
There aren’t many physical buttons, it’s true, because you can control everything with the 2.6-inch touch screen. Yep, it’s geared up to accept your finger-prods and pokes.
Nice. Anything else I should know?
Aye. The music player’s a bit of a cracker too, playing not only MP3 files but WMA and OGG as well. A lot of music lovers swear by OGG’s high quality, you know.
So where do you store these OGG tunes? Built-in memory?
No, sadly Samsung hasn’t put in very much. You’re going to have to stick in a trusty microSD card for storage – it supports up to 2GB, which is a reasonable amount of space for a few hundred songs.
It’s a real fashion phone with a musical soul, then?
Yep, that’s about the size of it.
Do say: “I’m going to phone you on the Armani.”
Don’t say: “What happened to all the buttons?”
