Polaroid has unveiled the Pogo, a tiny photo printer that hooks directly up to your mobile phone or camera.
The device is small enough to fit in your jeans pocket, yet can be whipped out to print sturdy 3 x 2 inch snaps at a moment’s notice. The prints it delivers are apparently virtually impervious to tearing and water, and have a peel-off backing that allows for speedy mounting in an album or, we guess, up on the wall.
But wait, we hear you cry: what if the ink inside leaks all over my new slacks? Well, don’t fret, our fashion-conscious friends: the Pogo uses “Zink” – zero ink – which doesn’t leak, run or smudge.
And here’s the good news for mobile users: because it connects to a camera via Bluetooth or USB, almost any mobile phone should be able to link up with it to rattle off a few snaps. We can’t wait to get our hands on one to give it a spin, but sadly we don’t have a firm release date on it yet. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear more.
